My studies at Al-Azhar, through primary school to graduation, and then at the Al-Azhar University Al-Daw'ah Faculty in Cairo, gave me the distinct opportunity to begin my career, first as a volunteer Imam at 15 years of age in Egypt, and followed by giving Lectures in Tajweed, Fiqh, and the Hadith.  Having always the strong determination to spread the great knowledge of Islam that I had been bestowed, I embarked on a journey to Japan where I found my new home and remain dedicated to the work of Daw'ah here in this beautiful country where I have experienced an amazing rich culture, a distinct history and great values of respect, honesty, kindness, tradition, community consciousness, and probably the highest level of literacy and education-standards.  These many values which are embedded in Japanese society, as most of you know well, are reminiscent of the teachings of Islam.

Since becoming the Imam of this historic and renowned Kobe Muslim Mosque in April of 2023, I remain humbled and honored to be able to serve our ever-growing Islamic Community in this beautiful port city of Kobe as well as the Kansai region.  It is my solemn duty to provide insights and depth of Islam to the people of Japan, spread the peace and harmony which is the bedrock of our Islamic principles through individual or group discussions, and to embrace the needs of the society to assist where possible through the prism of Islamic thought.

Islam is the response to humanity’s search for meaning. The purpose of creation for all men and women for all times has been one: To know and worship God. Islam means ‘submission’ and worship, in Islam, means ‘obedient submission to the will of God.’ Every created being ‘submits’ to the Creator by following the physical laws created by God, “To Him belongs whosoever is in the heavens and the earth; all obey His will.” (Qur’an, 30:26)

I look forward to receiving all of you at our Mosque, In Sha ALLAH.

One of the purposes of education is to develop a strong sense of ethics and values like, thinking of others, doing your best, not giving up, respecting your elders, knowing your role, working in a group, listening to others'viewpoints to promote critical thinking and empathy ― the ability to understand other people's feelings and the basis for living together in peace and justice. Japanese culture is rich in these core values.

Being a teacher and educator, my ambition is to flourish these values and qualities through moral education with compassion and rationality.

Let's join hands to make a voluntary contribution to the peaceful international society.
